Stefan Huebbe was born 1973 in Berlin, where he had his first sailing dingy at the age of 14. He completed a Masters in Engineering and built his career in Siemens, Daimler-Benz Aerospace, Proctor & Gamble, General Motors and Connex, managing various multi-million dollar projects. 

He started sailing offshore regattas, cruising with friends and, after living in Australia for 6 years, he bought a sailing yacht on which he sailed back to Europe with his soul mate, Chloe. During this trip, he started to design houseboats, so that others could experience the lifestyle of living on a yacht with all the creature comforts of a house.

Stefan co-founded his houseboat company in 2011 and designed and built all kinds of bespoke catamaran/monohull houseboats, selling from 90,000 to 600,000 Euros. Needless to say, he also lived on one of his houseboats himself.

Stefan recently retired from his boat-building business but remains a consultant in the industry. He continues working on boats and living on the water.
